The other day one of the store managers at The Home Depot where I work summoned a fellow worker and myself to a “live training session.”
We were game so we followed her to a gathering spot two aisles over. The gentleman leading the meeting introduced himself as Irwin, the PK man: Product Knowledge was his niche.
He was instructing us on getting sales leads on back-up generators.
“If they start asking for specifics,” He said, “You don’t have to know anything about generators to get a sales lead. In fact, it’s better to say, ‘I don’t know’ than to give the wrong answer.”
Hello friend and welcome to 5 Minutes of Hope
Today’s topic is: What To Do When You Don’t Know What To Do
Let’s be honest… all TOO often… we just don’t know.
The doctors are puzzled.
The experts are baffled.
The professors are dumbfounded.
The professionals are flummoxed.
WHAT… do we DO?
May I suggest three things?
I. Open the Book
It’s a book about wars.
It’s a book about Kings.
The plight of the prisoner and how the captive sings.
It’s a book about heartache, tragedy and loss;
a God who would allow his only Son to hang on a cruel cross.
It’s a book about Hope and a better day.
It’s a book about wandering and finding our way.
It’s a book about races.
It’s a book about choices.
How the redeemed of the Lord love to raise their voices.
It’s a book about a man from a place in time.
It’s a book about His story and how He longs to be mine.
It’s a book about beginnings and a world with no end.
It’s a book about life, I think I’ll read it again.

A closed Bible doesn’t aide anyone.
But don’t just open the Book…
II. Read the Book
An unread Bible is a tragic tragedy.

Read it.
Study it.
Meditate on it.
Pray it.
Memorize it.

But don’t just read the Book…
III. Obey the Book

When we are completely clueless as to what to do next…
Open the Book
Read the Book
Obey the Book
Mighty God, we thank You for Your Word. We love Your Word. Help us to OPEN, READ, and OBEY Your Word. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.
