The Present in the Pain

Thorns on the rose; thorns on the rose.

Why pain and beauty are so often wed, only God knows.

When tragedy strikes your heart,

when calamity strikes your home;

please know this, my grieving friend:

you don’t walk that path alone.

There’s One who cares.

Our burden shares.

Hears our prayers.

Calms our fears.

“… Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5
