God’s Will

What’s a man to do, when a man can’t do;

the very thing he thought he was supposed to do?

He’ll throw up his hands into the sky

proclaiming: “My Lord and my God, you know better than I!”

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Then God leads him down a path; different from the plans he had.

One day he’ll look back and testify: “He has made me glad!”

With an outcome so far beyond his wildest dreams;

and simply no words to describe the scene.

*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+

Yes, it’s remarkable and amazing, what a man can do;

when he finds he can’t do, what he thought he was supposed to.

To God be the glory great things he has done;

through a man who has yielded to the will of the Son!

“I desire to do your will, O my God …” Psalm 40:8

      Thank YOU for your kind words. It was actually written about an associate pastor who wanted to become a lead pastor at our church. It didn’t work out and instead he and his dear wife started their own church and it is now thriving with hundreds of people worshiping and praising God.
