Recent studies reveal that some of the most recent studies … shouldn’t be … revealed. Not EVERYTHING that can be seen … needs to be seen. OH, what we let in the eye gate!
The cool thing is: God gave us EYELIDS!
Yeah, we can close em.
AND … our heads swivel. Yeah, we can turn em.
AND … we can FIX our eyes on the Fix when we’re in a fix.

Today’s topic is: Running to our Refuge
It’s quite possible that I won’t perfectly quote the quote I saw on social media recently but it went something like this. “Don’t pray for a hole to appear in the ground while the shovel is in your hands.”
Dear one, we have a part to play in this journey called life.
When trouble confronts us … we can do something.
When our enemy is chasing us … we can do something.
When the horizon is bleak and scary … we can do something.
David proclaimed:
But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign LORD; in you I take refuge — do not give me over to death. Psalm 141:8
LOOK at the ACTION of David:
He refocused … his eyes!
He ran … to his refuge!
He prayed … to his God!
♫ I go to the Rock of my salvation, I go to the Stone that the builders rejected. I run to the Mountain and the Mountain stands by me. When all around me is sinking sand, on Christ the solid Rock I stand. When I need a shelter, when I need a friend, I go to the Rock.
There may be no way of knowing how often or how little you and I open God’s eternal Word and hear from heaven.
But … I can tell you this: if we’re not getting a DAILY DOSE of God’s perspective, if we’re not getting a DAILY DOSE of God’s wisdom, a DAILY DOSE of God’s divine plan, God’s love letter to YOU and ME, God’s instruction, God’s precepts and purposes … our tank will be running on E!

Revealed in His Word.
How can I see God?
See Him in His Word.
How do we fix our eyes on Jesus?
Another quote on social media: “How freeing — we get to turn our eyes FROM our circumstances TO the One who HOLDS them.”
The Word of God reveals the God of the Word!
Turn off that radical and biased news program. Run to our Refuge.
Turn off that blasphemous TV sitcom, show or movie. Run to our Refuge.
GOD IS … not was.
GOD IS … not might be.
GOD IS our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we … will … not … fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea … the LORD Almighty is with us … He says, “Be still, and know that I am God …”

Dear one, find time, make time, schedule time for God’s precious Word … TODAY!
Mighty God, we thank you that you are our Rock and our Refuge on our good days and on our not so good days. May we run to You this very hour. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray. Amen
