🎶 Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.
Dear one, what we see matters.
Friend, what we don’t look at matters.
And… what we cannot see really matters!
Behold the Lamb
I’m fixing my eyes on Jesus
Not on earthly things
He’s so worthy of my gaze
Unto Him my heart sings
Not a QUICK glance.
Not a DARTING look see.
But a purposely, thoughtfully, longingly stare at He who was and is and is to come.
Let everything that screams for our attention fade into the background and see Him.
Focus on Him.
FIXING OUR EYES ON HIM.
Gaze into His Word.
Linger long in prayer.
Fixate on the Invisible.
Let Him meet you there.

And we are tempted to lock eyes with these hurts and heartaches until that’s all we see.
But dear reader: look beyond the mundane and the shouting pain and behold the Lamb.
Fix your eyes on the One who can fix your situation.
Behold the Lamb!
May we fix our eyes on the true and genuine prize: Christ Jesus our Lord.
John didn’t merely say,
“Behold the Lamb…”
He said it twice (John 1:29 and 1:36).
Why?
Because people are natural wanderers.
Our eyes drift.
John keeps bringing them back.
“Look again.”
“No… don’t look at Rome.”
“Don’t look at the Pharisees.”
“Don’t even look at me.”
“Behold the Lamb.”
That repetition itself becomes the application.
Every morning…
Every temptation…
Every disappointment…
Every headline…
Every diagnosis…
Every victory…
Behold the Lamb.
When your eyes begin to wander… behold the Lamb.
