5 Minutes of Hope

Sharing the HOPE and encouragement we have in God.

Matthew 14

Notice well, my friend: Christ Himself directed His disciples into the boat. He promised to meet them on the other side. Do not fear following where Christ leads you.

Many of Jesus’ disciples were seasoned fishermen—battle-scarred, time-tested men who knew those waters as well as anyone alive. Yet Matthew says they were terrified. They cried out in fear. Whatever they were seeing was unlike anything they had ever faced.

Take courage!

It is I.

Don’t be afraid.

It’s Me.

I’m here.

By My hand, you are led.

🎶 He spoke the word that calmed the waters. He walked upon the stormy sea. He spoke my name when I was lost in sin and shame. Jesus, the man from Galilee.

Jesus never said,

“There isn’t a storm.”

He never said,

“Your fears aren’t real.”

He simply said,

“It is I.”

His presence became the answer.

Not the absence of waves.

Because…

Christ owns the waves.

He doesn’t merely survive them.

He commands them.

The waves never belonged to the storm.

They belong to Christ.

Dear one, in your storm… right now: LOOK FOR HIM. Worship Him. Trust Him.

Mighty God, G. A. Young penned these words:

Help us ever trust the One who owns the waves. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.

Just a thought:

“If He owns the waves, then the waves I’m facing today are not outside His authority.”
