👉 The Holy Spirit
Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. Acts 2:33
- God has raised this Jesus to life. Acts 2:32, Romans 8:11
- A sound like the blowing of a violent wind. Acts 2:2
- Filled the whole house where they were sitting. Acts 2:2
- As the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:4
- Declaring the wonders of God. Acts 2:11
- Spoken by the prophet Joel. Acts 2:16-21, Joel 2:28-32
- Saves, baptizes and fills the believer. Acts 2:38,39
👉 The Surrendered Believers
All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. Acts 2:4
- They were all together in one place. Acts 2:1
- They saw tongues of fire. Acts 2:3
- They were all filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:4
- They began to speak in other tongues. Acts 2:4
- Peter stood up. Acts 2:14
- Peter raised his voice. Acts 2:14
- Peter addressed the crowd. Acts 2:14
👉 The Startled Crowd
We hear them, declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues. Acts 2:11
- Bewildered Acts 2:6
- Utterly amazed Acts 2:7
- Amazed and perplexed Acts 2:12
- Questioned— “What does this mean?” Acts 2:12
- When they heard they were “cut to the heart.” Acts 2:37
- Questioned— “What shall we do?” Acts 2:37
- Accepted and were baptized. Acts 2:41
Dear one, just to clarify: there are those who mistakenly call the Holy Spirit an “it.” This is grossly misleading, inaccurate and false. He is God and is the third Person of the triune God.
He was with God in the beginning, He has worked in the hearts of all mankind throughout history and He will officiate at the culmination of history at the ceremony and celebration of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
NOTE YE WELL 👉 any church or organization or body of believers that attempts to win their world for Jesus without the Holy Spirit will fail and fail miserably. EVERY time.
Man-made programs, user-friendly approaches and institutionalized backsliddenness CAN NEVER take the place of the moving of the all-consuming and all-powerful workings of the Holy Spirit of Almighty God.
God help the church!
