In his book “Fresh Power,” author, preacher and pastor Jim Cymbala exhorts the church on our need for a fresh infusion of the Holy Spirit and says:
“The church’s great task is not to clarify what the “mark of the beast” is or who the “bear of the North” is or whether the Jerusalem Temple will be ever be rebuilt.
Instead, Jesus gave his disciples a divine promise that has never been rescinded: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses.” Acts 1:8
The great commission of evangelism is the great work of the church— and it will be done only in the power of the Holy Spirit.”
“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty. Zechariah 4:6
TWICE in Christ’s short-lived, Spirit-filled ministry He CLEANSED the temple.

Has this house, which bears my Name, become a den of robbers to you? But I have been watching! declares the LORD. Jeremiah 7:11
If the church was born through watching and praying— 👉 will it die in want: pitiful, poor and pathetic?
If she was born in waiting and travail— 👉 will it perish in wantonness and trivialities?
If the church of the living God was birthed through blood, sweat and tears— 👉 will it burn out it buffoonery, silliness and tommyrot?
Where is the LORD God of Elijah?
Where are the ancient paths Jeremiah inquired of?
Son of man, can these bones live?

Dear one: when is the last time you entered your prayer closet, shut the door, and did not come out until you flooded that floor with the tears of repentance, confession, adoration and worship?
Friend: when is the last time you shared the love of God with an unbeliever?
Church attendee: when was the last time you invited a sinner over to have supper with you at your house?
Dear Christian: when is the last time you walked your neighborhood searching for someone to love on and share the gospel with?
Altar worker: when was the last time you didn’t get through praying until you prayed somebody through? Salvation. Deliverance. Healing. The baptism of the Holy Ghost with fire with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of the living God gave them the utterance?
Song writer, artist, worship leader: when is the last time— instead of rehearsing for the next morning’s worship service over and over and over again you prayed, and you sought God and you cried, and you begged God for souls?
Bible thumper: when’s the last time you bought a young disciple a cup of coffee and mentored them in the ways of God?
Pew warmer, when is the last time in church during headshaking time you asked somebody how their week went and you really listened?
Pastor, deacon, church leader: when is the last time you turned down your plate and fasted and prayed for the souls of mankind?
Oh, GOD, for a FRESH touch, we plead! For a genuine, authentic, bona fide and real move of God of the Holy Spirit within my life, my family‘s life, the church and WORLDWIDE, we pray.
