Today’s topic is: Stand Up
These times DEMAND a stand.
But not just ANY stance…
Well, that quote isn’t very specific… “stand for SOMETHING?” Okay. But WHAT?
I first heard the following quote while attending Bible school in 1974 spoken by a man with a STRONG voice and POWERFUL convictions: Dr. Russell K. Pier.
Dare to be a Daniel.
Dare to stand alone.
Dare to have a purpose firm.
Dare to make it known.
So then… what is our stance?
What is our purpose?
What is our position?
I am SO glad you FINALLY asked!
Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!
Jesus Christ: crucified, risen and coming again!
The apostle Paul admonished the church:
When the “world” tells you to “take a seat,” stand up!
When “sin” tries to entice you and trip you up into falling down, stand up!
When the devil with his schemes tries to silence you, stand up!
Mighty God, our strength is in YOU. We can stand tall and confident because of YOU. Help us STAND. In Jesus name. Amen
