Once upon a time there was
A man from Galilee
Who told the story of God’s love
And how He’d set us free
Those who didn’t believe in Him
Delivered Him over to death
They hung the Christ upon a cross
And shouted, “Save yourself”
“I did not come to save myself
But give you life divine
All who will believe in me
Become the Father’s and mine.”
The crowds delivered him over
Yes, they hung him on a tree
They killed the one who came to give
Us life abundantly
He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4:25
