TALKING WITH GOD

Today’s topic is: A Conversation with God

Does God hear?

Is God there?

Does He care?

Will He answer my prayer?

Friend, we have God’s ear when God has our heart.

Let me ask you this:

What do you think God is doing up there all day long? Watching Netflix? God DID NOT create mankind because He was bored and having a BAD HAIR day! He strongly desires to fellowship and communicate with His children.

A PRIVILEGE CALLED PRAYER

… conversing with the Creator …

… talking with the Teacher …

… supping with the Shepherd …

… through a privilege called prayer …

Prayer — is most certainly NOT rattling off our wish list while lounging on the lap of some pleasingly plump stranger wearing a fake costume, sporting a fake beard, and spouting a fake laugh.

Oh, no, Ho, Ho, my friend!

Prayer — is having a chat with the Christ of Calvary and the King of Kings.

Prayer — is sacred communion with a holy, loving and living God.

Prayer — is spending time with Jesus. Singing to Him with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. Making melody in our hearts to the Lord.

Prayer — is quite possibly the most awesome privilege afforded to mankind.

FIRST THINGS FIRST

♫ God answers prayer IN the morning!

♫ God answers prayer AT noon!

♫ God answers prayer IN the evening!

♫ So keep your heart in tune.

A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP

How do we TUNE in to God’s radio station in the first place? Of ALL our cries of “help me, God” and “please, please, please, I promise you if you get me outta this jam I’ll be good for the rest of my life” kinda praying … the FIRST prayer that’s gonna get God’s attention is … “Dear God, I recognize I need you. Please forgive me of my sin and come into my life to be my Lord and Savior.”

As a child of God and because of what Christ accomplished on the cross we have access to the Father. The ONLY high priest we need to go through is Jesus Christ Himself.

ANYTIME!

ANYWHERE!

ANY PLACE!

ANY NEED we have and …

WHERE EVER we find ourselves …

we are invited to converse with the God of all creation and the Lord of Lords!

OUR ETERNAL HOPE

Do you have any idea how many times in the Holy Scriptures God talks about us talking with Him? TONS!

Throughout the entire Bible God HAS and PROMISES to HEAR and to RESPOND to the prayers of His children.

WORD

I call on you, O God, for you will answer me; give ear to me and hear my prayer. Psalm 17:6

PROJECT: HOPE

We should NOT be … strangers to prayer.

We can talk with the Father … ANY time — ANY where!

Worship Him — praise Him, seek His face.

He LOVES to hear our voices … ANY time — ANY place!

Our Father invites us … to bring ALL our cares.

He hears ALL our cries, and will meet us there.

PRAYER

Dear Father today, help us to realize that you love to hear your child’s voice and you DO answer prayer. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
