God Can

Many of the tasks that you and I tackle on a daily basis are … easy, peasy, lemon squeezy. Do you know what I mean? With but little effort we possess the ability to accomplish such simple functions.

However … there are those assignments which are quite demanding and require a higher level of skill sets. Such as … ripping up and putting down new flooring. That can be daunting. Replacing a water heater. Or, a kitchen remodel. Challenging … to say the least. But still … able to manage … at least by some people.

But then … there is the unattainable … unable to be conquered by human hands.

It CAN’T be done!

An IMPOSSIBLE feat to the tune of … listen to this: a 90 year old woman being able to conceive and bring forth a child.

ImPOSSIBLE!

Hello friend and welcome to 5 Minutes of Hope.

Today’s topic is: God Can

The Old Testament character Abraham had a wife named Sarah. She was barren. No kids. She was ninety. Past childbearing years. God spoke and promised they would have a child in their old age.

They chuckled.

Wouldn’t you?

The entire account is spelled out in Genesis 18. And in verse 14 God inquires, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”

Well, THIS little chorus contains the answer.

♫ Our God can do anything, anything, anything. Our God can do anything. He made the world in all its fullness, and all that time shall bring. Our God can do anything.

Dear one, WHO can help us when it seems impossible?

WHO can comfort my broken heart?

God can!

He’s our Comforter!

WHO can heal the broken body?

God can!

He’s our Healer.

WHO can save the lost soul?

God can!

He’s our Savior.

WHO can deliver the depressed, despondent, afflicted, and addicted?

God can!

He’s our Deliverer.

WHO can rescue and redeem those society considers rejects and failures?

God can!

He’s our Rescuer and our Redeemer!

Who can calm the raging sea around us … and … IN us?

God can!

🎤 He spoke the word that calmed the waters. He walked upon the stormy seas. He spoke my name when I was lost in sin and shame. Jesus, the man from Galilee.

When we face the impossible

God rolls up His sleeves

We petition the Father

Who handles it with ease

♫ Our God … can do … anything …

The Word of God, from cover to cover, records God’s supernatural intervention into the ordinary course of nature.

Miracles!

Miraculous miracles.

Mighty miraculous miracles.

Doing the impossible:

Parting the waters …

Slaying giants …

Rescuing from the lions den …

Feeding the five thousand …

A virgin giving birth …

IMPOSSIBLE situations and friend, if you’re facing one today … rest assured … God … CAN!

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.

Ephesians 3:20

What you and I CANNOT do, because it’s IMPOSSIBLE, God CAN!

Dear one, are you facing the impossible right now?

Let’s pray.

Mighty God, it’s such an honor and privilege to serve a God who can do ANYTHING! NOTHING is impossible with You. We boldly call upon You today in our hour of need knowing You can do all things. In the matchless Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray. Amen

Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.
