Meet Us Here

Friend, there are those days when we DESPERATELY need a touch from the Master’s hand. You know, times when our ONLY heart’s cry is: “O Lord, please meet me RIGHT where I am”.

Maybe you are experiencing a day like that THIS very day.

Hello friend and welcome to 5 Minutes of Hope.

Today’s topic is: Meet us Here

On the rim, on the ledge, on the edge,

of the canyon of despair.

God, you see us … hanging by a thread,

won’t you come and meet us here?

Pick up the broken pieces

of our bruised and shattered hearts.

Send your healing, Holy Spirit

to our wounded, hurting parts.

Sorrow has never run this deep,

invading the very center of our soul.

Father, please send the Comforter,

make us every bit whole.

What I have always found amazing is the way people respond to hurt and heartache. Some of us will do everything within our power to hide our hurt while others have no problem broadcasting it freely. Wherever you’re at, whatever you’re going through … loss of a loved one, physical challenges, marital strife, financial stress … if you feel in any way desperate, hopeless, and anxious, can we just throw up a hand and admit we … NEED … a FRESH touch from the Master?

Dear one, rest assured, our loving, almighty, and heavenly Father is still in the comforting and delivering and healing business. HALLELUJAH! He … IS … WORTHY!

♫ Trusting only in Thy merit,

Would I seek Thy face;

Heal my wounded, broken spirit,

Save me by Thy grace.

♫ Savior, Savior,

Hear my humble cry,

While on others Thou art calling,

Do not pass me by.

-Fanny J. Crosby

The Psalmist prayed: “Do not hold against us the sins of past generations; may your mercy come quickly to meet us, for we are in desperate need. Help us, God our Savior, for the glory of your name; deliver us and forgive our sins for your name’s sake.” Psalm 79:8,9

Dear Father, we thank you that you see our condition and you hear our cry. We ask that you meet us right at our point of need. In the matchless Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray. Amen

Friend, may you be filled with hope today and share it with others.
