5 Minutes of Hope

“God is good”. Maybe you hear this many times, maybe you hear that; “If God is love why is there all this ugly in the world”? I was browsing or flipping through Tik Tok today and came across a person who posted a video and then went on disparaging against well known evangelists and calling them fakes and thieves. I started reading the comments and my heart sank to the floor. This is not the first time I have heard people talk and say horrible things about preachers. However, it always puts a check in my spirit.

What whispers do I hear? I hear the voice of reason, maybe the caution of the Holy Spirit that says …”they don’t know”. I am not the one to stand in judgement over these men who preach. I will tell you many many times — God is healing! God does change lives! When the power of God falls, humans cannot stay the same. How do I know this? It has happened to me. I have been healed. I have had a broken jaw healed. I have seen many miracles from God. No one can take my experiences from me and call them unreal. That is what is termed “Gaslighting”.

I hear the whispers that take me back to the Bible. Oh how I long to hear my husband’s voice in my ear. The soft caress of his breath as he speaks to me. I long to hear my Savior’s voice even more. When I read through the Bible I am always listening for the Holy Spirit to make sense of what I read … to whisper His voice of love and reason into my heart — into my soul.

Galatians 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

I declare — “I live by faith in the Son of God” Will you????
