Higher, Above and Over
For great is your love, higher than the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Psalm 108:4,5

The feeling of the infinite and the unbelievably large comes over the star gazer.

The sense of bigger than big washes over the one peering into the vastness of the heavens.

Wonder and amazement awaits the individual viewing the universe from planet earth.

But — above all that — there exists the God of all glory. The God of all hope. Our God — our great, big, wonderful God!

Mighty God, no matter what we face down here — we look up to the unseen and uncreated God and — give you praise! Amen

Don’t Fight the Seasons
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens. Ecclesiastes 3:1

We don’t plant in winter —

We don’t harvest in the spring —

We trust our all-knowing Father —

And let Him do His thing —

Nothing breaks the back of winter — except spring. And spring will come at the appointed time.

Dear one, am I the only one struggling with my season? I wanna bear fruit. NOW! But God is saying: wait.

I wanna blossom NOW! But God is saying: wait.

It truly boils down to trust. Trusting the Father’s timing. Trusting the Father’s plan. Trusting — in every season of life.

Mighty God, remind us You’re never early and remind us You’re never late. Amen

A mighty God is He.

Day and night

We wrestle and fight

He hears our every plea.

Dear one, darkness — suffocating darkness is settling over our land. We must pray!

We must talk to the only Hope and Help we have.

Today. This very hour — let’s call upon Him to intervene and show Himself strong.

Mighty God, we NEED You in EVERY area of our lives and THROUGHOUT our land, we pray. Amen

He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

Dear one, sometimes the only words we can utter are, “Jesus, help me!”

He hears our heart’s cry!

He sees our anguish!

He counts our tears!

He cares!

Troubles and trials and tests will come. They’ll come with a vengeance. They’ll come to try and take us out of the fight, steal our joy, kill our love, destroy our faith.

BUT DON’T QUIT TRUSTING!

Don’t stop praising!

DON’T CEASE PRESSING IN AND PRESSING ON!

He WILL respond

He WON’T despise

He ANSWERS our prayers

He HEARS our cries

Mighty God, thank You for Your unfailing love. HELP! Amen

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. I Peter 1:3

A living hope

A resurrection from the dead

Dear one, there’s an unbelievable amount of space between death and life. And yet, so close. Christ’s death might have appeared that all hope was gone. However — because He did not remain in that tomb — but He arose — we have a living hope!

Mighty God, when death and dying and hopelessness seems to be all around us — You are within us — and therefore we have a living hope. Amen
