Christ cried from the cross, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” Can you think of a safer place?
Jesus knew all about a father’s hands. Mary and Joseph did not travel to Bethlehem with a large entourage you know. It may have been just the two of them. It is quite possible that His earthly father, Joseph delivered Him in that barn and was the first to hold Him in his hands. In any event, He was held and cared for by His father’s hands.
Caring hands, loving hands, guiding hands, comforting hands, sheltering hands, unchanging hands.
