Mighty God, Your only begotten Son came the first time … as promised. SURELY … His second coming is … VERY near. Help us believe.
Friend, may you be filled with hope today and share it with others!
I’m kinda curious how many books and how many movies end with: and they all lived … happily … ever … after?
Did you ever wonder who was the first person to string together those three words? Happily … Ever … After! I mean, it sounds pretty good to me … HAPPY … For EVER!
Well, I don’t know who DID write them but I think we ALL know who it wasn’t. Back in the 60’s there was a young man who started out one of his songs with the saddest lyrics on the planet:
♫ Imagine there’s no heaven …
Hello Friend and welcome to “5 Minutes of Hope”
Are you doing okay today? I really do hope so!
It is such a special treat bringing you an uplifting message of encouragement, hope and inspiration. If you enjoy today’s blog, would you share it? If you don’t enjoy today’s blog, would you share it?
Well, if we’re all going to string together a few meaningful words, would you mind if I have a crack at it?
Today’s topic is: GOD’S ETERNAL KINGDOM
GOD’S ETERNAL KINGDOM:
G … O … D … apostrophe S.
The ownership is His.
This is HIS gig!
In the beginning … GOD!
GOD’S ETERNAL KINGDOM:
It is forever
It is ceaseless.
Our troubles and our trials and our tribulations have an expiration date.
But … heaven … NO end.
Life everlasting.
GOD’S ETERNAL KINGDOM:
It is a territory.
It’s a city
It is a country.
It is a heavenly realm.
Now, how’s THAT for some hope?
WORD
How great are his signs, how mighty his wonders! His kingdom is an eternal kingdom; his dominion endures from generation to generation. Daniel 4:3
Imagine there’s no heaven … ????? OH, MY!
Now, in this young man’s defense, I’m pretty sure at least ONE interpretation of his ballad was … to live our lives in love for one another in the right here and now … which is absolutely what we all should be doing. But, how is THAT working out? It seems as though EVERY news source out there chronicles nothing but endless bloodshed, violence and hatred.
WHERE’S the peace?
WHERE’S the serenity?
WHERE’S the brotherhood of man?
This old world is wearing out fast and it offers NONE of these things.
Peace comes from the Peacemaker!
Serenity comes from the Savior!
Brotherhood is found ONLY in the family of God!
GROWING IN GRACE
Friend, He has set eternity in our hearts. There is a deep and profound longing to live in peace, joy and harmony forever.
Once we’ve accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior our citizenship is in heaven. It is absolutely VITAL that we invest quality time EACH DAY meditating in His Word, the Holy Bible, and conversing with Him in prayer.
Heavenly thoughts, heavenly actions.
PROJECT HOPE:
Imagine BEING in heaven:
♫ Surrounded by your glory,
What will my heart feel?
Will I dance for you Jesus?
Or in awe of you be still?
Will I stand in your presence?
Or to my knees will I fall?
Will I sing hallelujah?
Will I be able to speak at all?
I can only imagine!
I can only imagine!

OUR PRESENT PAIN WILL PASS!
Friend, the apostle Paul, who suffered greatly for Christ said, “I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”
Romans 8: 18.
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
II Corinthians 4: 17, 18
Dear Father, thank You for the hope of heaven. No matter what we are going through, help us to keep our eyes FIXED on You and live our lives in the light of Your Son’s soon return …. when we’ll live FOREVER with You in our eternal home. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others!
Mighty God, thank You for the promises in Your Word that You are coming back to take us home. HALLELUJAH! We need Not fear … ANYTHING!
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others!
Mighty God, You are the uncreated and eternal God. We find refuge in You now and one day, we’ll see You face to face.
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others!
Mighty God, thank You for the encouragement in Your Word. Thank You for the privilege of prayer.
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.
Mighty God, Your Son came to earth the first time, as promised. We await His second coming, as promised.
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.
The apostle Paul prayed some pretty powerful prayers and the New Testament records not a few of them. One of his prayers in his epistle to the church in Ephesus is quite noteworthy. The one we are about to share requires that you be sitting down with your seatbelt fastened. Are you ready?
Here goes: by the way, this is from the Amplified Version of the Bible:
And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people), Ephesians 1:18
Dear one, this Vlog is for YOU!
Hello friend and welcome to 5 Minutes of Hope.
Today’s topic is: Knowing and Cherishing the Hope.
The Bible tells us that we see through a glass darkly.
BOY, is THAT the truth. Some things … we just don’t see a clear picture of … and … we NEED to have the very center and core of our being … ILLUMINATED … so that the truth is brought out into the light, and we see it for what it truly is.
Where HOPE resides … FEAR, DOUBT, WORRY, PANIC, and ANXIETY … have NO welcome mat here!
Go ahead and LET them herald the bad and depressing news.
OUR hope is in Jesus Christ, the Rock of our salvation!
Let deception and deceit run rampant and wickedly wild.
OUR hope is in Jesus Christ, our strong and mighty tower!
Let whomsoever may say what they will about us and our faith.
OUR hope is in Jesus Christ, our Rock, our Sword, our Shield!
♫ My hope is built on nothing less Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness; I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus name.
– Edward Mote
Paul prayed: that we would KNOW and CHERISH the hope.
The Hope: the divine guarantee
The Hope: the confident expectation
Heartbreak, pain, and loss are all too common in our hearts today, dear friend. But there is coming a day … when there will be:
NO … MORE heartaches!
NO … MORE sickness!
NO … MORE suffering!
♫ No more crying there, we are going to see the King! No more dying there, we are going to see the King! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We are going to see the King! – Andraé Crouch
Our hope is NOT in creation but IN the Creator!
Our hope is NOT in the constellations but IN the Christ!
Our hope is NOT in fairies, pixies, gnomes, goblins, gremlins, and hobgoblins but in JESUS CHRIST, the Son of the LIVING God!
Our hope is NOT in a set of regulations and rules but IN the Ruler of the universe!
Our hope is where we hang our hearts that one day … in heaven … we will have what we hope for down here!
Mighty God, help us to know and to cherish the hope we have in You. In the matchless name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we pray. Amen
Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others.
One day
you will die.
One day
so will I.
One day
tears will flow.
One day
all will know.
One day
the skies will part.
One day
ready my heart.
One day
could be soon.
One day
could be June.
The promise.
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.
Micah 5:2
The wait.
For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it
Matthew 13:17
The fulfillment.
But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman …
Galatians 4:4
The promise.
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first
I Thessalonians 4:16
The wait.
For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Titus 2:11-13
The fulfillment.
No one knows about that day or hour …
Mark 13:32
