On several separate occasions, the apostles were arrested and placed behind bars because of their lifestyle. Imagine that! When was the last time I was jailed for Jesus?
Now then… just WHO was persecuting and arresting the apostles? The religious leaders. Oh, my!
Our goal is most certainly not to be put behind bars. BUT… can we say that our deepest desire is to live as the apostles lived?
How often have we heard it said, “How come we are not seeing the acts of the apostles in our day?”
Here is the simple answer: we are not actively DOING what they DID therefore, we are not SEEING and EXPERIENCING what they did.
Ouch!
Mighty God, like the apostles, may we SELL OUT and GO ALL IN and watch you help and heal the broken-hearted through Your church once more.
