Giving up and Going After

2-22-23

The book of Psalms is a book of 150 Psalms written by several different Psalters.

Interestingly enough, the very first verse of the very first Psalm differentiates between the blessed and the wicked. And quite often, throughout the rest of the book, we see the life of both depicted.

Verse two makes it perfectly clear what the blessed delight in: God’s precious Word. And … who meditates on it DAY and NIGHT.

Verse three … THAT person is like a tree planted by streams of water …

Wanna be blessed? WORD

Wanna bear fruit? WORD

Wanna prosper? WORD

May we fall in love, LIKE NEVER BEFORE, with God’s love letter to us: His precious, Holy WORD!

As we begin this season of lent, my desire is to GIVE UP and GO AFTER. Give up EVERYTHING that is unChristlike and go after Him with abandon.

Galatians 5:13-26 is captioned in the NIV as “Life by the Spirit.” I want to WALK in a way that pleases the Master.

Precious LORD, we consecrate these next 40 days to You. May we hunger and thirst for NOTHING or NO ONE but You. Amen

Friend, may you be FILLED with hope today and share it with others!
